Frontend Architect

News Digital Media is looking for a Front-End Architect to join our Business Integration team. Our team is at the forefront of web standards-based development in Australia, building some of Australia’s largest news websites. Your work will be seen by millions of Australians.
Excited? You could be involved in:
Innovating and participating in the ongoing development across News Digital Media websites and other internal tools.
Managing a small team of developers to achieve project and BAU deliverables, defining and maintaining guidelines and standards for projects and ongoing maintenance and review of existing products.
Implement technical solutions to problems currently existing across our network.
The right person for us has:
Proven, extensive and up to date expertise in front-end production skills (hand coding HTML, CSS, jQuery, Javascript and SEO-friendly development).
Experience testing and deploying major web products or services (experience with SVN desirable).
A thorough understanding of web production in a multi-project, deadline-driven environment.
Understanding of cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
An ability to translate the business and marketing needs of clients into technical solutions.
Strong people and time management skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
